PROCRASTINATION: The art of having to clean the bathroom but making a card instead.
I used a couple of my new Creative Expression dies here: (1) Finishing Touches - Daisy Cluster; and (2) Mini Gemini Die - Aquila. I like how they work together, however I've managed to cover up most of the gemini die... can't leave well enough alone.
Hope you're enjoying your Sunday as well... even if you aren't avoiding housework like I am.... ;)
Crazy high temperatures here lately. I don't have air conditioning so I'm continually moving fans around in order to keep cool. I attempted a card in the mini wind storm I created with 2 fans... needless to say I didn't use glitter... lol.
The stamp is from Verve, the die is from Creative Expressions "Sue Wilson Canadian Collection - Toronto". Embossing folder is from Spellbinders "Roman Romance E3D-010".
I think I'll wait until tomorrow to clean up my craft room. ;)
Nothing beats a day where there's no work, no pressure and no reason to wear pants LOL. Yep! A good ol lazy Sunday in pj's.
Thought I'd try out another one of my Sue Wilson Dies. This one is the Australian Collection - Sydney.
Once again I used my go-to-flower from Heartfelt Creations "delicate aster". The background embossing folder is from Nellie's Choice called "little flowers". The stamp "you make a difference" is actually a very old wood block I have from Hero Arts. Paper is Bazzel.
I love the pink and brown together.
Well that's it. Might try another card... or might try a little Netflix. Hope you are enjoying your Sunday too.
Hi! Bought a few dies on the weekend and just wanted to try them out. The newest of my Sue Wilson dies is the border on this card:
It's the mini gemini die - ARA and I love it! You can have either side at the end or cut it out altogether. And of course I used my new favorite again... the "Toronto" from the Canadian Collection. I also added the flower from Heartfelt Creations (delicate aster).
The vertical stitched dies... I also picked up this weekend - they are from Frantic Stamper and I love that the stitches are on the inside AND the outside of the border.
Well that's it from me. It was nice to be able to try out my new stuff. Thanks for looking!!
Made this using the new Sue Wilson dies that I just bought "Canadian Collection - Toronto" along with my new favorite flower, "delicate aster" from Marianne Designs. I coloured it with my Copics E30-34.
Just playing around with my new Sue Wilson & Heartfelt Creation Dies and wanted to share a card.
I just love the delicate aster flower - so many possiblites. I also bought the aster flower stamp set as well. I used the Sue Wilson Striplet Lattice heart die as well as the Australian Collection (Brisbane).
I'm not sure "brown" is really a Christmas colour, but it felt right at the time (doubting myself now that I'm writing the post lol). I just love this Uptown Girl though from Stamping Bella.
I added some glitter to her cap, boots and ground as well as black liquid pearls for her buttons. The dies I used are Maryanne's Designs (Parchment & Label), Frantic Stamper (Fishtail Banners), Spellbinders (Labels 10), Memory Box (Crystal Snowflake) and Sizzix Thinlets (Holiday Words).
This is the first time I think I stuck to the sketch instead of going off on my own tangent.
I used Harry The Stuffie Gets Happy Mail and I coloured him up with Copics E70, 71, 74 & 77. I added a little R20 to his cheeks and ears. Envelope is coloured with BG10, 11, 13 & 57. I left the heart white and then covered the envelope with glossy accents.
Well that was fun - can't wait to see what next Friday's theme will be. Thanks for stopping by!
Back for another Stamping Bella Bellariffic Friday. Here's the sketch for today:
I chose to change it a bit because I really wanted to use the stamp Rachel Loves The Rain from the Tiny Townies series.
I kinda like how she turned out. I love the heart puddle and the hearts falling from the sky. This stamp comes with the sentiment "You are my sunshine when skies are grey" and I've added that to the inside.
DIES: Lil Inker Designs Stitched Mats / Memory Box Meridian Border
Today is Bellariffic Friday and this week's theme was to use the colours from the photo above. I happen to have gobs of supplies for this because these are my favorite colours. Even my little apartment is covered with these colours... and my bedroom even has a little beachy theme lol. Anyway, here's my card using these colours:
I used Harry the Stuffie Gets Happy Mail. Isn't he sweet? I love the Stuffie Collection. I coloured Harry with Copic Markers E70, 71, 74 & 77. It's hard to see in the picture but I used glossy accents on the envelope so it shines beautifully. I added a tiny little heart embellishment over the drawn heart.
DIES: Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers / Penny Black Love Expressions / Memory Box Button Border / Frantic Stamper Tufted Cushion Panel / Spellbinders Victorian Pierceabilities
Can't wait to check out all of the other Stamping Bella cards using this colour combo!
I was pretty stoked to try my first Stamping Bella sketch challenge in a few years. I didn't nail it exactly, but I think it's our own personal interpretation we're going for, right? At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Here's the sketch:
DIES: Sue Wilson Belgian Collection (background) / L'il Inker Designs Stitched Mats / L'il Inker Designs Small Bow Die / Spellbinders Classic Squares Large.
The sentiment on the front was one I found on the internet years ago and still had it saved. I thought it was a good fit and I just love this stamp as you can put anything you want in the bubble.
Thought I'd try another birthday card. This one has a sentiment that I typed on my computer. I think it makes a great birthday greeting.
The papers are all SU cardstock. I was just going to leave it with Whisper White & Baja Breeze, but at the last minute added the Early Espresso because it made a nice contrast. The embossing at the bottom (which is a bit tricky to see in the picture) is actually just one of those strip-embossing-folders from Cuttlebug.
Today, as promised, I'm back with a Stamping BellaBellarific Friday Challenge and the theme is to use your favorite embellishment on your card. Pearls and paper roses are my fav so this challenge wasn't difficult. :)
COPICS: C00, C1, C2, C3, W1 / BG10, BG11, BG 13 / RV11 DIES: Memory Box - Blooming Flower Frame / Sizzix Thinlets - Friend / MFT - Mini Rolled Rose PAPER: SU Whisper White, Always Artichoke and the background paper is actually a digital wood-grain I've had for ages.
So with all the pearls and my little rose, I hope I've met the challenge. Love these cute little elephants, so quick to colour up too.
Well that's it for me for today. I'll be back again sooner then you think... and of course again next Friday with another Bella Friday Challenge.
I must admit my last post in 2013 made me laugh a little. I was apparently pretty gung-ho about blogging again... and here we are 3 years later... LOL. Basically I'm here today with a card and to also say I'm pretty excited about this coming Friday's post. I'm going to be a GUEST DESIGNER for Stamping Bella for the month of June!!! My first post is this Friday, June 3rd. This card was fun --- lots of layers and especially the Frantic Stampers background die; I used 2 layers (one white, one cream) and staggered them when layering.
Unfortunately the picture has the ribbon covering the sentiment... "Life with you is one amazing adventure".

Love the little wooden clock embellishment and all the pearls. Well it feels nice to be back. I also started a Facebook Page as well in case you care to join, and of course I'm also on Pinterest too. If you stop by, please let me know with a comment. Curious to see if anyone is still out there!! SEE YOU FRIDAY!! Carla.
