Stitch your stress away.

Hello rubber-blogger-friends - HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope whatever it is you've chosen to do this evening that you have fun ringing in the new year (and no drinking & driving!!). I'm posting another quilting card today with my favorite drink actually.......COFFEE. I loved that this was part of Anna Wight's (Whipper Snapper) new quilting stamp sets (Springtime Quilt & Quilting Forever).

I chose to use the Spellbinder square diecut & leave a white edge to each block. I like the embossed edge & the "quilting look" it gives the squares. I also found these awesome little scissors in my stash - aren't they cute?!

Well believe it or not..........no designer paper was harmed in the making of this card. Other then the usual Gina K Pure Luxury White cardstock (for colouring with copics), everything else is Stampin Up!

Stamps: Whipper Snapper (Designer: Anna Wight) Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White cardstock, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Baja Breeze Accessories: mini scissor embellishment, May Arts white ribbon & brown ribbon, adhesive pearls Tools: Copics, sewing machine, Shapeabilities – Fancy Tag, Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" embossing folder Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Look Ma... I'm Quiltin' !!

I find sewing on paper so relaxing. Now sewing on material... well that's just stressful. Being domestically challenged I try to stay away from anything like that... sewing... cooking... you get the idea. Actually, my sewing machine has never touched material. (Maybe I shouldn't brag about that...)

So here's another card using the newest sets from Anna Wight for Whipper Snapper Designs. The quilt block is from Springtime Quilt and the sentiment (love the font!) is from Quilting Forever.

Remember to check out the other samples from the Nov/Dec Feature Designers (links in post below)... and if you're in the mood to grab a coffee and browse a while, be sure to check out the gallery at Splitcoaststampers; keyword WSFD for all designs past & present. If you haven't done so yet, then you're in for a real treat!!

Whipper Snapper Release Day!!

Okay!! Anna Wight has another 2 of her amazing sets being released today:

As I'm a fan of sewing on cards - there are so many possibilities with these sets and the sentiments are the cutest! Here's a card I made using quilting blocks from each set and the sentiment reads: "Quilting Forever Housework Whenever!"

I'M BACK!!! YAHOOO!!

So, didcha miss me?!! LOL!! Well I haven't been in blog-world for the past 3 weeks because I had something really weird happen. Woke up one morning without vision in my right eye. Scared the pants off me! Anyway after a trip to the hospital (... with my pants by the way...) I had learned that it was a fairly thick cataract and could be fixed with surgery. Whew!! It's very odd for a cataract to come on so suddenly - but it's all fixed now. Actually I was on the surgery table only 3 hours ago and now I'm blogging a couple of Kimmie Christmas cards... couldn't have turned out any better if you ask me!! (can you tell how thrilled I am..........?!!). So onto a couple of Kimmie cards that I've made a while ago.........

I love the playfulness of these Kimmie Stamps. In common for both... they are colored with copics, the Cuttlebug snowflake die & matching embossing folder was used along with a little machine stitching.

Wish I could remember those papers.... let me think.....I know the top one is Basic Grey eskimo kisses, but the bottom one is either Basic Grey or Pink Paislee.

Well off I go... "I can see clearly now... the rain has gone....!!" (Okay... this super cheerful mood has got to go - I'm even annoying myself.)

Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White cardstock, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery & Basic Grey eskimo kisses Assessories: SU! gr/grain Bashful Blue ribbon, blue silk ribbon, diamond dots, glitter, brads Tools: Cuttlebug snowflake, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spellbinders Nestibilities, MS snowflake punch Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

What's Christmas without GLITTER?

Oh I love my glitter, which makes Christmas the only time you can really use it on every single card. I may have went a little overboard on this little Sugar Nellie - the poor thing is drowning in it - LOL!

I'm doing my best to get caught up on my Christmas cards. I'm mostly healed up from surgery and this weekend I've been living on coffee, cardstock, copics ............ and glitter.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend everyone....... and thanks for checking in. I always love reading your comments. 8)

Pa Rum Pa Pum Pum!

Hi again! I've been working on a few Christmas cards today and want to show you this super cute image from Stampendous. I think I bought it just after Christmas last year so today was the first time I used it.

Very basic card - not much to tell. The music paper was layered on Always Artichoke and sewn to base of card. Spellbinders did the cutting & framing, coloured up with Copics and some satin ribbon finished it off.

Gotta go......... make another one!!

Warm Greetings & Holiday Cheer

Had fun with this! I used the sentiment as a bit of a background & tried to colour co-ordinate it to the Figgy Pudding paper. I popped the snowballs up on double sided foam tape. Snowman & snowballs are lightly coloured with copics & glitter was added as well (along with the snowflakes). I dragged the Revolution out because I like my snowflake die I have for it and forgot how easy that machine is to use - I love it!

So have you seen all the amazing cards that sprung from Anna Wight's new Whipper Snapper sets that were released this past Monday? If you haven't had a chance, please check the SCS Whipper Snapper Feature Designer Gallery HERE.

PS ... I didn't forget to colour his nose this time!!

Stamps: Whipper Snapper Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White cardstock, Basic Grey Figgy Pudding, True Tyme, Whisper White Accessories: Pearl Dew Drops, May Arts white ribbon, glitter Tools: Copics, sewing machine, Frameabilities (classic frame), Revolution diecut for snowflakes Ink: Cranberry Crisp, True Tyme, Memento Tuxedo Black

Only the Nose Knows...

Okay! I know (**groan**)... it sticks out like a sore thumb... well, not "thumb" exactly... I mean NOSE! I forgot to colour his nose. I had such plans for that nose...........LOL!! And I completely forgot. Oh well as they say, only the nose knows... but like the card says, it's "a season of smiles". (Thanks Anna - great sentiment!!)

This is another Anna Wight image from the new Whipper Snapper Release (this past Monday). The snowman and "a season of smiles" sentiment is from the GARDENING SNOWMAN set; and the "Peace Love Joy" is from the THINK SNOW set. First of all I must say I never used one copic marker in the making of this card... I know... I can't quite get over it myself (Hello!!!! the nose could of used a little colour!!!)...but I did a little paper piecing and some machine stitching.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas!

This little penguin is from the THINK SNOW set, by Anna Wight for Whipper Snapper Designs released earlier this week. Isn't he a cutie?!

I've been checking out the other card designs by this months Feature Designers on the SCS Website: WSFD and I was blown away by all the cards & projects. There are some seriously awesome cards using these sets.

So can anyone tell that I'm addicted to my Fleur de Lis die? Yes, I think I'm going to have to buy some more - I just love it. So on this card I combined my love of the die with my favorite colour brown (sorry, not so Christmas-y...but don't get down on the brown!!) I can't remember what the background Christmas paper is, I've had it for a couple of years I'm sure and the label is long gone. The red polka dot is Pink Paislee.

I would have loved to be more involved this past week in posting for the November/December Whipper Snapper Feature Designers, but I'm still recovering from my surgery on Monday and have been taking it easy. I'm having a ball today though checking out everyone's fun projects and cards from all week. You guys are amazing!!

Whipper Snapper Release Day!!!

I'm so happy to share this exciting news with you!! Anna Wight asked me to be one of the Whipper Snapper Featured Designers for November & December. I am so thrilled to be part of the big release today and to especially be using stamps that Anna designed herself!!

The 2 sets released today are Gardening Snowman & Think Snow. I used a combination of all the snowmen from both sets for this card. The sets come with so many great sentiments, but I didn't leave myself enough room (yikes!)... so I've stamped one on the inside.

Be sure to check out the other featured designers for their amazing work using these two new stamp sets:

Amy Rohl
Gabriela Divine
Jennifer King
Randee Elsing
Anna Wight

Well that's it for me for a bit. I have a surgery scheduled for 1st thing in the morning, so I won't be near my computer for a few days... but I will certainly have more Christmas cards to share in the very near future using these adoreable sets.

My Favorite Things @ Christmas

A friend (and awesome medic) in Afghanistan asked that I make her a few cards that she could send in the mail over Christmas. Well Carly - I thought you might like this one for your hubby so there this & 3 others on their way to you tomorrow... hope you will like them.

I love this image by My Favorite Things - it's just the cutest ever!! And there's so much you can do with it - from paper piecing to copics to the decorations on the tree - you can get a different look every time.

New Home

I know I've been MIA again, but work has been eating up all my energy lately. I get home after working overtime again... and there's just nothing left. I'm starting to panic a little about not having any Christmas cards done. And I mean "none"... as in "zero". Whoops - even seeing it in black & white makes me panic a little bit more!! I'm usually way ahead of the game by now. 8)

Made this card for my brother & his girlfriend who just had a new home built. The house is stunning by the way - there's just no other word for it.

Totally Cool Tilda

Ever find that sometimes a card will just come together based on what's sitting on your desk (aka "mess")? So here's my desk: I recently had an MFT order arrive... I refuse to put away my Fleur de Lis pendant... and I was cleaning out my "3-D sticker drawer". Long story short is these little sticker sunglass, which I've had for years, were just the right fit for Tilda... kinda takes her from "sweet" to "gangsta" in one stick - LOL!! My MFT order that was sitting on my desk contained the set And Then I Said with all the fun teenager sentiments. I just couldn't resist.

Well I've been MIA due to a combination of work and feeling under the weather... so it was nice to be able to get a little crafty tonight.

With Sympathy

Verve has the most amazing clear set (Forever in our Hearts) for designing Sympathy cards... which is something I always have a difficult time doing, especially when making one for someone I know. I'm happy with the end result though - the spellbinders never seem to let me down!

Well, it's definitely been one of those "weeks"... so I'm doubly happy it's Friday. I hope to get a few more cards done, but first.......... a little sleep.

As always, thanks for checking in. Enjoy your weekend!!

Ohm at Home

Made this card for my friend Donna's birthday. On the inside I wrote "... ohm... I'm not 40... ohm.... I'm not 40... ohm..." It's not your typical birthday card idea, but for Donna she loves her hot yoga so she really seemed to appreciate the theme.

Ever hear of "hot yoga"? Well apparently there's this bizarre thing were people "willingly" do yoga in something that resembles an oven. I can't get my head around it actually - I do everything in the summer to get out of the heat. Donna keeps trying to convince me to go. Apparently once you're in the "hot room" with 30-40 half naked sweaty strangers , you're not allowed to speak (which may be a good thing actually) ... or leave. Personally, I'm just not warming up to the idea. I mean... if you've really got to Ohm... then there's nothing like being able to Ohm in your own home...

So HAPPY for you.

I received my new Sugar Nellie Manga's in the mail and finally did one up yesterday. I was so full after Thanksgiving dinner, my attempt with the Copics was not the best - lol!
I kept making mistakes... and learned that nodding off in the middle of colouring won't give you the best results...... 8)
I used my Verve "So Happy" sentiment set - I just love how each word is individual and you can create your own sentiment and place the words where you want.
Back to work for me tomorrow... I sure enjoyed the 4-day break. Enjoy your week everyone and thanks for stopping in!! 8)

COMIN' THROUGH!!

This chicken driver cracks me up! If told you it took me a ga-zillion years to colour... you would think I was egg-zagerating... but I wouldn't be that far off actually. The fact that I just couldn't leave it alone is probably a better way to put it!!
The only embellishment I added were the dew drops in the headlights. Other then that I just covered up FORD CKNFMR to make it into a birthday card.
Well I'll keep this short... very tired at the moment (and once again no ideas for anything witty for the inside - lol). I'm off for a little R&R with my DVR.
"Chick" you later dude...........

Chicks Rule

Ever make a card and giggle the whole way through? Well I've been trying to come up with something clever to put on the inside of this one...........like....... "we need a chicks night out" or "do these shoes make my butt look big?" Hee, hee... anyway, if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them. 8)

Found this paper in my stash and I'm sorry but I couldn't tell you where it came from. I have a sneaky feeling it's remnants of a KC&Company Designer paper pack from Michael's... but I couldn't swear to it.

This little happy-spring-chick is another stamped image I received in the mail from my friend Pauline. (yes, I actually do have my own stamps....lol...) I've been looking at different sites to try & figure out if it's Whipper Snapper, Inky Antics or whomever and I haven't been successful yet. Anyway, I'll update when I find the information.

Spellbinder Nestibilities shaped this little cutie. I coloured her up with copics and added tiny pearls to the flower centers. I added a bit of SU stitched ribbon and edge punch to break up the background a bit. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Stamps: Chicken image is still a mystery...sentiment is from PTI Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White cardstock, KC&C Designer paper, SU Marigold Morning Assessories: Pearls, SU ribbon, a little bling from the Dollar Store Tools: Copic markers, Edge Punch, Spellbinders Nestibilities Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Miss You

Was in the mood to make a card after work today... which is odd, because that almost never happens. I usually swing into a routine of supper, laundry and whatnot - but tonight I kicked off my shoes... tossed my purse on the sofa and B-Lined it to the craft room. Had this card in my head on the drive home and just had to spit it out... so to speak... 8)

Welcome Little One

I thought Sugar Nellie's "MacBeth" would be pretty darn cute in a baby card. I don't know of any babies on their way at moment... but I'll have to do a pink one to so I'm ready either way.

The Lily Bee (french couture) designer paper matches so nicely with the SU Baja Breeze. The pearls are actually a very pale blue that I found at the dollar store. The only other embellishement is the May Arts ribbon that I scooped up from Anna Wight's "Sassy & Sweet Crafts". I usually go overboard with embellishments, but I find baby cards look nicer with less fuss.

Well that's it from me this evening.......... (yawn)......... I think it's going to be an early night. 8)

Autumn Winds

I love how this image has motion. My sister & I were talking about this recently... a lot of stamps are "poses", but some have the feel of motion that I absolutely love.
The paper is October Afternoon... and that's exactly when I made it. Yesterday during WCMD, I just tucked in for the afternoon and made cards until my eyes went funny and my stomach started growling!! It was fun... but then I ran out of good lighting to take any decent pictures, so I thought I'd wait until today to post. Hope you all enjoyed yesterday. (It should really be World Card Making WEEKEND........ not DAY.......... right?)

Friends Forever

Thanks to my very good friend Pauline who stamped a bunch of new images that I didn't have and sent them off to me in the mail. I've been practicing with my copics and colouring one up after the other. This is one of the newest Manga images from Sugar Nellie. The sentiment is Papertrey Ink........ which now that I think of it....... is also from Pauline! THANKS PAULINE!!

Forever & Always

I don't make personalized/custom cards anymore, but I was asked to make a wedding card by a very good friend so I was very happy to do it (actually pretty flattered to be asked!)

I stopped at my LSS (Marchant's) on my way home from work yesterday and couldn't keep my hands off this new Basic Grey Indian Summer paper. Love it.

The little silver charm says, "To love & to cherish" and works great with the Fleur de lis. The bride & grooms name are computer printed and cut & embossed with Spellbinder labels.

On Cloud Nine

What's your Cloud 9 Moment? Mine would be to get to my goal weight without my workouts killing me! (Right now I'm on Cloud 2...).

The paper choice was easy for this little Stamping Bella cutie... I tried to keep as many of the birds visable on this Lily Bee paper so she really did look like she was floating on a cloud.

Coloured with Copics (as always), cut & embossed with Spellbinders (as always).

... they'll be days like this....

I caught the last light of day on my window sill for this picture. I was going to take a better one, but decided the lighting looks "sleepy". 8)

Not sure what I ever did before Spellbinders. Here I've used the scallop square, the circle & my new Fleur de lis pendant. Image is from Stamping Bella and the sentiment is Verve.

Sole Sisters

So this is my best friend Donna.

Donna has a thing for shoes and her husband built her a pretty amazing Shoe Room... complete with purse compartments, boots, etc... I've never seen anything like it. This unfortunately is only a partial picture. (Imelda Marcos would be insanely jealous. )

So naturally, when I make a card for Donna... there is only one choice for a theme:

The "shoe" is a Hero Arts image & is coloured with Copic markers. I've added a bit of bling (Donna Style) and dressed the shoe up using a quickie glue pen & glitter. Added pearls, liquid pearls & diamond bling ontop of the MS edge punch at the bottom. I got a chance to use my new Spellbinder flourish (is that what they're called?) dies along with my new labels die.

So that's my Shoe Story about a card for Donna - oh yeah, and she liked it!

Friends Forever

So I finally had a chance to do a little card lovin this week. Just the one, but I finally bought the Spellbinder Pendant "Fleur de lis" and I just had to try it out. So many possibilities with this die - it's fantastic!

I already had this little Stamping Bella image coloured up so it was very quick & easy to put together. Not much to this card actually - quite basic.

Hope you're all having a fab weekend. I've been "Spring Cleaning"... guess I'm a little behind.

Craving Some Sugar

Sugar Nellie that is...

Well this is the last day of my holidays before busy life starts up again. It was good to be off for a week, but it will be good to be back to work & have some routine again.

This image reminds me of my little 2 1/2 year old niece - she's pretty darn cute. I didn't add a sentiment and probably just leave the inside blank too and use it for a note card.

I used copic markers to colour her up & clear glaze pen on the metal of the bike, which the camera didn't pick up but looks pretty cool when held toward the light (I'll have to add instructions to whomever I send this card to read it at a certain angle to the light! LOL!!)

I think I used half of my paper stash I own on this one! Layer, layer, layer - it may take extra postage - ha. Brown dew drops were paired up with the Martha Stewart edge punch & some satin & grossgrain ribbon finished it off.

That's it from me - have a lovely Sunday everyone!!

Groovy

Well I'm 3 days in a row - who knew? Guess I'm feeling the mojo finally. I have to show you this groovy cat... it's from a Recollections clear set I picked up at Michael's some time ago. Isn't he cute? Because he was so groovy, I had to pair him up with this Verve sentiment.

I'm really loving this Lily Bee line of paper... love the small print designs especially. Great for cards (I leave the scrapbooking to my sister).

Well I'm back to work on Monday so we'll see how well I keep up with blogging once I'm back at it again. 8)

As for now... I'm off to make another card.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!!

Hello all! I love this sweet angel image. I bought this clear set at Michael's a couple of months ago and threw out the packaging so I can't tell you what company it's from. If you know, please leave me a comment and I'll update this post. I thought the Verve sentiment was a nice fit for the design and the space as well.

The angel is coloured with copics & glitter was added on top of dots from a clear glaze pen. I used a Cuttlebug folder to emboss the Baja Breeze cardstock & then added borders with my Martha Stewart edge punch.

Well that's it from me - keeping this short & sweet.

EDITED TO ADD: Thank you Deb! Yes, I remember now - it's Inkadinkadoo. They have some great clear sets, this one really jumped out at me though!! Thanks again. 8)

Stamps: Verve
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White cardstock, Lily Bee (french couture)
Assessories: May Arts white polka dot ribbon, dew drops (pearl), glitter, clear glaze pen

Peek-a-boo

Hello crafty bloggers!

It's been a while since I've posted a card but I've been fighting off Stamper's-Mojo-Itis. It's a terrible affliction and can last for days on end. Hee, hee. I've tried stamping retail therapy (usually helps). Then I re-organized my craft room (almost always helps). But seriously, I just haven't been feeling very crafty and have been enjoying the summer weather instead. But last night... I got the 70's music a rockin' and I just got down & dirty (inky). Here's my Peek-a-boo card that I came up with.

I stumbled across this cool Pink Paislee paper that just arrived at my local stamp store (Marchant's). I just love it.

And I love this Stamping Bella Image! I used the sentiment "Peek-a-boo" on the inside.

I used copics to colour the image and the gorgeous white May Arts ribbon is from Anna Wight's store (Sassy & Sweet Crafts)- love that! The image is cut out with Spellbinder's Nesties & propped up with foam tape.

Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White cardstock, Pink Paislee designer paper
Assessories: May Arts ribbon, pearl dew drops
Tools: Copic markers, Fiskers Edge Punch, Spellbinders Nestibilities, sewing machine

What an Amazing Day!

Saturday, August 22nd was such a fun day!!! I travelled from Kingston to Stamping Bella in Thornhill, Ontario to FINALLY meet my on-line stamping buddies, Pauline (L) & Linda (R).

Actually Linda gave a Copic Class which was better then fantastic! I seriously learned some great tips & tricks and had a lot of those "Ahhhhh....that's-how-she-does-it-moments". I wish I had more time to sit and have a coffee/chat with these girls, but it was a very full class and a very busy day. Lots to learn & lots to shop for... I mean, we were at Stamping Bella headquarters after all!!

I have been practicing quite a bit since I've been home - but nothing has made it into a completed card yet. Instead I have dozens of little coloured images just waiting to get layered, nested, blinged & Bella'd.

A special thank you to my Mother & brother for coming with me for the long drive each way. You guys were great company and I haven't laughed that hard in ages!!

So hopefully I will be back soon with some finished cards! I know I've been MIA... thanks for checking in!!!

Oh Baby!

Well Janice's card (in post below) has inspired me to continue on a bit more with the baby theme. I love both images from Stamping Bella (on left) & Instyle (above). I don't have a lot of baby embellishments so I just stuck with soft colours, ribbon & flowers.

Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White cardstock, K&Company designer paper

A Baby for Janice...

Well I've been on holidays but must have left my mojo at work. I just haven't been in the mood to make cards lately. Today was my first attempt since I've been off and I just did a very simple card.

My friend Janice is due very soon and she already knows she's having a girl... so pink it is. Janice actually looks a lot like this little Bella, so I thought this image was perfect! I kept it really simple because I don't like too much on a baby card... less is better to keep it soft looking.

My camera was giving me huge grief and I couldn't get a good picture, so I tried a close up of the image as well.
Hopefully tomorrow my mojo will be back and I'll have another card. Fingers crossed. 8)

A Little Testosterone

Time for A MAN CARD. No cutzie, no pink, no ribbon, no flowers (okay... maybe a little cutzie....it is from Stamping Bella after all...).

I had fun doing a little paper piecing and paper piercing (...say that 10 times fast...) on this one. Haven't done either in a while.

This card is for my brother-in-law and I need to be at our family party in an hour. Nothing like last minute!!

So on that note.......... HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARY!!
Stamps: Stamping Bella, Paper Trey Ink (sentiment)

I Should Have Known

Don't think I'll ever get tired of using this great stamp from Sugar Nellie (Sweet Art Ebony, called "Reflective"). Isn't she adoreable?

So here's the thing... flowers & plants... they hate me. No, I don't take it personally at all. They see me coming and they know it means their imminent death. Even the slightest sideways glance can cause a slow and painful death for anything that flowers. Long story short... this is my first attempt with flower soft. And... probably my last attempt with flower soft. I was enticed to buy some after seeing beautiful results on SCS and other blogs, but I think I'm living some horrible "serial-killer-flower-karma" and anywhere I add the stuff, I destroy. So there's a tiny bit on this card (mostly what I couldn't scrape off). 8)

I seem to use a bit of everything on this card so I'll list the supplies below.

Stamps: Sugar Nellie
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White, Cosmo Cricket DP, Choc Chip, Baja Breeze & Marigold Morning
Assessories: Prima flower, ribbons , dew drops, pearls, flower soft
Tools: Copic markers, Edge Punch, sewing maching
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Makes Life So Sweet

Another quick card with this gorgeous Scenic Route paper.
I bought the Spellbinder frame ages ago and it just didn't seem to go with anything I was working on... so there it sat. When I came across one of my favorite Emily Dickinson quotes, it fit perfectly. The center is popped up with foam tape and the frame itself is on brown Bazzel.
I kept the layout pretty simple - just a few pearls, ribbon & a couple of Spellbinder flowers. The edge punch at the bottom is from Martha Stewart.
Well that's it from me. I'm racing through this post so that I can make a b-line to the sofa for the season finale of The Bachelorette. So there - I've admitted it! But it's so good!!!!! What's up with Reid coming back anyway?!! Hmmmm........ (he's my favorite by the way, but something tells me he won't get picked.) Oh gawd!! 10 minutes... where's the popcorn???!!
Stamps: Wordsworth
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White cardstock, Scenic Route, Bazzel brown
Assessories: Adhesive pearls, May Arts polka dot ribbon,
Tools: NO COPIC MARKERS (can't believe it), Spellbinders Frame, flowers are also from Spellbinders, MS edge punch

Together Forever

Q: What could be better then a Sunday morning with a huge Tim Horton's coffee and hours & hours to blow in your craft room?
A: Nuttin.

I finally inked up one of my Instyle stamps that I bought ages ago and paired it up with this awesome Scenic Route designer paper. I'm definitely a fan of pink & orange so I kept the other colours to a minimum.

Well now that I'm back, I will definitely be posting more regularly. I have so many more cards to make... there's a baby due date I know of.... a couple of anniversaries are coming... a birthday card... okay; I better get busy.

Bye for now - and as always thanks for stopping by!!

Well I'm finally back after a couple of weeks. It's so nice to be back at home and to be able to walk down the hall to my Craft Room. I was up early today and have been making cards like crazy.

While I was away I received 2 amazing awards - so cool! The first is from my friend Vicki whom I've know for a few years now and is a fantastic stamper.

THANK YOU VICKI!!

So my sister Denise stopped by the other night to try out my newest Copic colours. She had just received her order in the mail from Magnolia so she had stamped one of her favorite images a few times and brought it with her. While she coloured one up, I played with my nieces and learned a great deal about twirling a batton... with your eyes closed... (very important not to be near any glass or crystal during this last part).

Denise only coloured one and after she & my nieces left I noticed I had a bunch of little Tilda just sitting on my craft desk without colour. Doing the "decent" thing (lol), I got out my Copics and brought one little Tilda to life. It's weird that I used purple, because I'm not a fan of purple. I did have a couple of sheets of this Wisteria so I thought I'd finally cut into it.

You'll see in this picture that Tilda's wings are bare of colour. When I gave her some glitter (because she can't fly without it), my camera sighed it's last breath & I can't take a replacement photo until I replace the batteries.

By the way, those beautiful pearls that my good friend Pauline sent me... I can't seem to do them justice at all. They are in a beautiful flourish pattern on the package and I'm all thumbs, glue and frustration when I go to put them in place. Anyone have any tricks for this?
